This little light of Mine

Shine on my Friends!

I know I have talked about my morning candle before but I was enjoying it again this morning so I thought i would share. About a year ago I started lighting a candle almost every morning when I woke up. I found pretty little tea lights that are nag champa scented. They burn for five hours add such a lovely glow while I am waiting for the sun. This morning I swapped it out with my cinnamon candle and it is funny how quickly my mood feels warm and mellow. If I ever find natural lemon scented candles I will be creating my own sun in the morning.

Also this morning….

At Thanksgiving my son left his jacket here. I hung it up on the coat hook and the light must have caught it just right this morning because Benny went into full alert and did his “come here right this minute” bark while standing at attention and starting at it. I walked over and looked and explained that it was okay and he went back to normal beagle mode. He is such a clever little guy!

I love candles! They are extra necessary this time of year! I found a basic iron candleholder for tea lights/small candles and bought two. Decorated them with a snowflake earring and gave one to my daughter. When I light mine I will imagine that she is lighting hers, too . Simple to swap out/remove the decoration, too. I don’t think I can put a picture on here. I like the way you have a mirror behind your candle.

Good for Benny for alerting! He knew that wasn’t supposed to be there! I have been spooked by an oddly placed robe or jacket before, too!
