Wow!

I can’t believe I haven’t posted for almost a month! November has been busy for me. Just lots of bits & Pieces and odds & ends.

Yesterday was ridiculous. Filled with human and animal doctors and chaos and nothing running on time. Today I am waiting for a television repair person, yes, they do still make those. I have to run to the store and then I am done hopefully for a couple of days.

When I woke up this morning I see from my silenced phone that my neighbor called me twice at 1am. This would probably be alarming except that I just gave that neighbor my phone number yesterday afternoon so I am guessing she was adding me to her phone.

We bought a new television of a much higher quality than our previous television and I am just astounded at the picture. Even really old movies:

Such as this one from 1966

are just so much better. Sadly our Television is defective but it does have a good warranty so fingers crossed 🤞 one service call and done.

Also Benny would like you to know that right this second he has the zoomies.

Yesterday I had a mammogram which I purposefully scheduled in the same building I get my chemo in because it’s always empty, yesterday they were running 30 minutes late. Sigh…

Then I ran to a quick breakfast with my daughter nearby since I didn’t have time to go home and then come back to the same building for my infusion. Where they are were also running late because of a lab problem. Not with actually running the labs, just sending the results.

Got my infusion, then back home for an hour, then took a dog for an emergency vet appointment where we discovered she has a bladder full of stones & infection. She will unfortunately need to have surgery to remove all the stones.

It was a very long day.
I grabbed a small bag of what will be her new food which I wasn’t happy about because she is a picky eater but actually have a different problem. The food is so tasty that the cat kept trying to rip open the bag and then when I fed the dog this morning the cat kept trying to steal her food.

I have to run to the store today because Dusty will also be on giant antibiotics for a couple of weeks before surgery and she is THE WORST about taking pills. I mean this is the dog that hides when she just sees the flea oil drops. Such a nervous one. I wrapped a pill in bacon this morning and that took three tries. But bacon is our emergency recall food so I don’t want to keep using it. I think I will try dried beef. Lots of flavor and shelf stable. Maybe I will grab some deli turkey too so I can alternate and keep it interesting. Not a lot of options in the house full of vegetarians. The beagle will be happy.

I’ve been making crochet hats for my daughter this week.

They are slouchy beanies. Susan J if you read this I am currently using our favorite yarn and it is a dream for a hat. Perfect slouch. 🙂

Okay, I think I am done for now. My little spot on the internet is caught up on my little details.

Bak to waiting for the repair guy.

Stressful day…it would be for me who counts on everything running smoothly although I know very few times that is the case. Love the hat!

Haha, I DID read this and I was already smiling when I saw the hat!!! It’s so cute!

Sorry you are having a week full of annoyances, both minor and major. Hope you have all that behind you soon.

TVs always amaze me a little bit when I think back to the black-and-white monstrosities of my childhood, and even the fuzzy pictures that always seemed to blink at some point that we had when we were first married. The picture quality can be AMAZING now!

Hmmm…I wonder if this will post. I am moving to Chrome and I found a wonderful extension I think it is called Dark Reader. It makes all backgrounds black which is much easier for me to read.

Oh joy it posted but with a weird time December 2, 2021 3:02 am.

I am happy you have a wonderful new TV. I can’t wait to get mine.

    The slouchy hat is adorable!

Bummer about Dusty and pills. One of my sister’s in law used to have great battles with one of cats that had to have a pill everyday. I hope the lunch meat trick works well.

Yesterday sounds like a monster of a day. I am glad it is over.

I am really glad I found this extension, it makes reading your site so much easier for me.

I think it has to do with where my site is hosted. I set the time but it still always shows stats & comments in a different time.
That’s interesting about the extension. I have the opposite problem. I can’t read light on dark!
