Why German Shepherds do not make good HVAC people

My furnace was making noises. It took me awhile to realize it. I just kept following the sound eventually discovering that the blower in the furnace was running, albeit very softly. I thought this was strange, I do not remember it ever doing that before. I had just turned off the AC and opened some windows so even though it was not warm enough for the AC to have been running I thought maybe and put it out of my head.

Then the world’s most nervous dog got scared and wanted outside and refused to come back in. She usually only does this when the power goes out.

So back to investigating I go. Blower still running. Check the floor registers, air blowing out. Check the thermostat and sure enough when I switched off the air I had accidentally switched on the fan.

Now here is the point of this whole story – A few years ago when we had the furnace and AC replaced I was told with assurance that this model does not have the fan only option!

Did my furnace suddenly magically do an update on itself? Did the fan fairies sneak in overnight and replace my furnace with a new one? I cannot believe I did not even try for these years

Also – Now I have to get Dusty used to it because I love having the fan feature!

Poor Dusty! I hope you can get her to acclimate to that. Lots of treats?

It’s had being a dog…all the responsibility of keeping everyone on their toes…especially when you are a fraidy cat…..no offense, Frank!
