It has been a long time since I have been this nauseous after an infusion. :(. After feeling so good the last couple of weeks it caught me off guard.

Since I moved to the new infusion center things have gotten a little rocky. I do not know if they are understaffed or if I have just been unlucky but it seems like things are always getting missed, or forgotten and I feel like I am chasing to get things done and I just stopped and let it all slide.

Yesterday my chemo nurse was on the ball! She did everything without me asking or reminding and then went above and beyond to take care of old things that got missed. It was lovely and made me feel a lot better in general. Did I tell her? Bet your ass I did!

I have a long term project I am working on, a short term one that I for some reason am procrastinating on (for you Tami, I swear it’s done, just finishing work) but yesterday I started a fun one.

Will I tell you what it is? No.

For you crocheters, I hate doing flat circles because of the constant counting for increases, especially if it is a big circle. I like mindless crochet sometimes. So I was annoyed with counting and stopped. I just started doing it by look and feel and I am so happy with how flat it is!

My husband is due home soon and it looks like I have been on a shopping spree while he was gone. Just one of those weeks. I am very excited by of all things a couch cover. My daughter has one that I Iiked and she showed me it on amazon and I think it will fit my over stuffed two recliner couch that the dogs have ruined. I would be very happy to remove the blanket. It as so much less expensive than I expected. If it works I will buy another one for my husbands recliner. yes, that is how exciting my life is this week. LOL

I only made it 24 minutes watching the debate last night.

I have been let down by just about every medical experience lately. I don’t know why but the whole attitude seems to be different these days. I would say it’s just me, but gosh, errors and things overlooked left and right. Good that somebody got it right and I’m glad she was acknowledged.

I bought sofa and chair covers this time for our new furniture, which I have never done before, and I really like them. Hoping they protect from spills and stains.

I enjoy and admire your brave crochet!

    1. I think, from the few conversations I have had, that it is that same old same old problem, cutting costs to make more money. More responsibility with less personnel and time limits on how long you can spend with patients.
I am not overjoyed with my slip covers but it is close. They’re kind of an almost fit. Next time I will buy fuzzzier so they the wrinkles and or tight spots just look like part of the fabric.

  2. No rush for me. l’ll be here when ya get to it. A giant circle? A rug? A basket? Hmm… I like mindless crocheting by feel or look. I hate counting. It feela.like I’m going into OCD mode or something.
I’m glad you got a good nurse to make up for stuff. Bed side manner matters.
So tell me about this couch cover. I have the recliner on both ends couch snd a love seat thay is 2 recliners. Those are hard to find covers for.

    1. That’s good because it is still sitting in its “to be sewn spot”!
      I got this one:
ZNSAYOTX Sofa Recliner Covers Newest 5-Piece, Fashion Recliner Couch Slipcovers with Pockets Both Side, 2024 Soft Durable Jacquard Fabric Pet Friendly Lazy Boy Reclining Protector (Khaki) https://a.co/d/0dOgaOEp
It does fit. It doesn’t look quite as nice as my daughters but I think that is because the fabric i so patterned and her fabric is fuzzy. I would get fuzzy next time. Generally pretty happy with it.
