Despite the picture in the context of the last two weeks nail strips experiment this post is not about nails but about arthritis of all things!
I have arthritis in quite a few of my joints and a recent bout of sudden onset pain in my fingers has me wondering.
- The arthritis has appeared within the last few years
- I have been on Kadcyla as a chemo drug for the last few years
- I am now also osteopenic
- I had a dose of Redi-Cat and IV Contrast this week
It feels like all of this is connected. Is the Kadcyla causing chronic inflammation that is causing osteopenia that is encouraging arthritis? The Redi-cat and contrast definitely causes an inflammatory reaction for me which would then explain the pain today.
I always feel like if I can track down all the steps that lead to something I can work on the root cause which might help the reactions. It drives me crazy when all the answers & diagnosis are segmented and separated.
