I am tired

I have been working on Retro Daisy Granny Squares. I will make 13 and then (in theory) make them into a nice tote bag that someone requested. Here is the thing…

I made four:

And then yesterday I could not make them anymore. My brain just could not do the pattern correctly. It was very strange and disconcerting. I had to stop so I could stop wasting yarn. The flower dragonfly fabric in the background will be the liner for the tote.

At Mahjong last week I said to someone “It is going to come to blows, me & you”. A couple of things, how annoyed do you think I had to be to say something like that? Do you think anyone playing mahjong has ever threatened violence before?

Aside from that I am really enjoying it. It is weird to play something that is so simple, yet so complicated.

I also went to the eye doctor last week. Very excited to get new glasses. My prescription is no longer quite right for my distance vision. I haven’t gotten new glasses in a couple of years and since I wear rimless glasses they do tend to get bent up and twisty. The current paid did pretty well until I couple of months ago and now suddenly they are falling off my nose and crooked and have a chip in left lens in a crucial place.

The cataract in my right eye has not gotten any worse so probably no surgery to correct it. The replacement lens in left eye is starting to get a little cloudy so in another year or two I will have to have it cleaned with a laser. Ugh.

I am one breath away from super whiny so I will go find some breakfast and try to turn into a nicer person.

  1. The squares, circle and fabric are all beautiful. It is going to be lovely.

Did you take the sleeping medicine the night before? Could that be fogging you up?

Sorry about the cataract. It is always something, isn’t it?

The Mahjong thing – yes, I can totally see women coming to blows over that game.

    Love and hugs!

    1. Good Morning!
Yes, I am doing all the sleep meds the last week. I am so so tired and foggy. 🙁
