Float On

I have now, since last Monday developed floaters in my eye. There should really be a more dignified term. I am not happy about this turn of events AT ALL and they better just go away.

Mine looks sort of like this but it’s one large wormy looking one that is much darker with a red tinge and then two small spots on the edges.

So annoying. I keep swatting away bugs that are not there.

Last night was a night of little sleep in the Murray house. It was the fever day of chemo after affects which means I sleep restless and then we had thunder and lightening all night which means the beg brave dog was whining and pacing! About 3:30 I suddenly remembered AMBIEN! Yay!

I am doing the second section of ribbing on my shawl sweater – the first one took me about 7 hours so…..

I have foam blocks, the kind you buy to make a soft spot for kids to play on arriving tomorrow so I can block it. I realized I did not have anything big enough. The nice thing about foam blocks is they are like jigsaw puzzles so store well and I can just pull out as many as I need to block whatever size I am blocking. It is big enough now that it serves as a lovely lap blanket on chills day!

In weird twisted brain way I also have some caffeine free flavored coffee cappuccino mix coming tomorrow. I have been searching for it at the stores for months – you know the old fashioned International foods kind? But the stores around here only seem to carry a very limited selection. I really needed caffeine free because I do not have that much caffeine in my life anymore and no one needs a Tracy adjust to a higher dose of a stimulant.

Mr. Tracy appears to be suffering the effects of our night currently as I see him curled up in a little ball on the recliner.

Last week I finally moved my Swiss Cheese Monstera out of its tiny pot and into a more permanent home. While I was repotting I smacked it into the side of the sink and I heard a terrible crack or four. So far it seems to be surviving its trauma. I cannot believe how big my monsteras have gotten. Highly recommend Hirts Greenhouse. They have great sales and they ship so well.

That’s all the excitement for this week. 🤷‍♀️

  1. I hate floaters. Do you think you should call your ophthalmologist? I think seeing a bit of red is kind of concerning.

I would bet this next section of ribbing won’t take as long because now you’re so practiced at it. It is so lovely and i love the color!

    1. I told myself I would call eventually . I just keep hopping they will go away! They have not changed at all which is a pretty good sign, I think. 🤔

      1. Well…you could be bleeding and not see it. I have had bleeds in my eye and not seen evidence of it. Only the eye doctor can tell for sure. The only time you will know, is with the eventual loss of vision. I’m sorry I am not trying to scare you, I just want you and your pretty little eyes to be okay.

        1. I am glad you are saying something. Sometimes I need someone to push a bit.

        2. Made an appointment!
