I frequently get emails that are not for me. Apparently my name is very common. Sometimes if I’m in a mood, I will hit Reply. While searching in my email for something else, I ran across this one from 10 years ago. This was one of the funnier ones.

Hi
How are you? Hope the new job is going well.
I’m feeling a lot better these days and really enjoying being with Ben. He is such a character. We went to the Golden Acres garden centre recently and Ben charmed all the old biddies.
We are revving up for Christmas. Visiting my mum, Teresa, and tony this weekend. Planning a family lunch on the 29th. I’ve got a meal out with some girlfriends to look forward to. And we are visiting santa soon.
I don’t suppose you have the Christmas jumper craze that we have at the moment, even Dave’s got one, which he wore yesterday to visit santa on the train at Plowmans.
I’m downstairs at work now in the production office, which is much better, more people flitting in and out. I’ve got lots of annoying Xmas toys to bring in on Fri. Our Xmas lunch and silly jumper day.
We’re All getting over colds again, getting fed up with constantly sniffing.
Ben’s got a Christmas party at nursery, which Dave & I are going to, all with our Christmas jumpers on.
Ben’s cutest thing is in the evening when you say pyjama time, he stops playing, toddles off upstairs and gets his nappy ready. Won’t last I know, making the most of it.
Enjoy Christmas is Lloyd with you? I hope he is enjoying his mechanic’s job.
Back to work now.
Love & hugs
Sarah xx
Subject Re: Hello
Hi Sarah!
Great to hear from you. Sorry, no new job still at the same old one.
I’m glad you’re feeling better. It’s no fun to not feel well as the seasons change. The cold can really bring you down. Here in Ohio, did you know I was in Ohio now? the days are getting short and I can’t remember the last time I saw sun.
I’m glad you’ll get to see your Mum for the holidays. It’s so important to find time to be with your family. I have such a small family and with everything happening we probably won’t have much of a celebration this year.
I do not own even a single Christmas jumper! I should get one, might liven things up. Why would you need to bring in toys for the Christmas luncheon? I’ve been trying to figure out how this fits in with being downstairs in a production office. I think you must work in some sort of media office and perhaps you’ll be collecting toys for donation to children who need a little cheering at Christmas? I hope so. That is a laudable reason!
My kids are 26 and 28 so it’s been a long time since they’ve toddled off anywhere. Though my daughter Facebooks about drinking every night at her house so she may be toddling! She is married and doing her own lovely thing so none of my concern. Oh, that just reminded me that I bought two bottles of wine at Trader Joes yesterday. After not being able to drink wine for all those years I forget that I am able now!
No, Lloyd is not with me! My husband would kill me if I brought Lloyd into our house!
I didn’t go in to work today. I worked from home for the first few hours and then took the afternoon off. You’ll never guess what I did in the afternoon. I went and picked up a wig! Can you believe it? I swore I wouldn’t but when I realized I wouldn’t have hair for probably at least another year I agreed with my husband that there are times I might want to be less noticeable. I popped a picture on of what I look like with it on. It’s pretty close to my normal color but it’s strange to see myself with 18 inches shorter hair! I guess no stranger than seeing myself bald. Back to the Chemo grind this week but every time is worth it. Did I tell you? Scans came back last week and it’s definitely working! So, yay for that! Three more months of this regimen and then we’ll do another scan and see where stand.
I guess I better go. Take of your cold, and take care of that adorable little one of yours, you would be amazed at home much you miss them when they’re small after they are all grown up.
Many blessings, and a wonderful holiday to you!
Tracy
P.S.
Okay, I know you didn’t mean to send this to me but I couldn’t resist answering! This email came to my Tracy.Murray@live.comwhich is an email account I do not use but does forward to my working email. I’m guessing you typo’d somewhere in the address. I swear everything I said was true including the Happy Holidays to you and your family!
And yes, that really is a picture of me I took today to send to my sister in my brand new wig!
Hi Tracy
Thanks for your lovely, chatty email. I was a bit worried when you said you had moved to Ohio, my Tracy lives in the Caribbean, I live in England. We used to work together years ago before she moved. We have visited her once and would love to go back again. The nearest I have got to ohio is, Florida, Arizona and Nevada.
I work in payroll for a tea company. My toys are annoying musical Santa’s and Snowmen. Ben my little boy aged 14 months loves them.
Sorry to hear you are having chemo, I guess for cancer. My sister in law is in remission and has been for a few years. Your wig looks good.
Happy holidays to you. I would send a picture, but I’ve got a new tablet and can’t find the attachment symbol.
Now got to write to my Tracy.
Sarah
